The last night of our stay on Hayman, Erik and Stephanie anticipated another nice dinner, while Rylan would have for another fun evening with his personal baby-sitter. Before we left, however, we were greeted by some visitors on our balcony. We happily fed them, although this was highly discouraged.

Dinner consisted of outstanding "room service" in the resort's lounge during backgammon and mojitos.

The next morning, we enjoyed another breakfast buffet, swam in the pool, and took a walk on the sea at low tide. (That's some low tide!) In the evening, we boarded our boat, said goodbye to Hayman, and headed back to the mainland.
Reluctantly, we jumped into our rental car and headed back down South. Although all was not lost, we got to stay the night in the fabulous Rockhampton trailer park once again.

During the drive, by the way, we were most excited to see our first wild kangaroo on the side of the road. The excitement waned quickly, however, as kangaroo spotting changed from novelty to a defensive driving necessity. It was still cool though.
